The idea of this video is to show the whole arc of Sherlock and John’s relationship chronologically only with eye contact – the initial curiosity and suprise, the growing attraction and happiness, the annoyance and the jealousy, the anger and the fear, the pining and the restraint, the pain and the love.
I wanted to see if the progression of their relationship could be seen with absolutely no words, just from the way they look at each other. I think it is quite apparent, let me know what you think! In the end I needed 2 songs because they goddamn stare at each other too much.

I had the great fortune to have @consultingsmartarse visit me this weekend, and in the exciting lead up to this trip, I relistened to Mise en Place for the umpteenth time. Of course, I just had to cook some of @azriona’s delicious recipes from the fic for the occasion: Japanese Pan-Fried Noodles, Sherlock’s Chicken and Tomatoes, and John’s Afghan Pilau. As you may see in the photo, I made a few additions & modifications as I went, but I think I captured the spirit of each dish! Serving the Chicken & Pilau together, we joked that it was johnlock on a plate ☺️👬❤️

I was JUST THINKING that I need to make pilau again – and wow, everything on that plate looks so good! Yum!

(And yeah – the noodles probably don’t mesh really well with the rice or the chicken. *grin*)

Yeah, we had the noodles cold the next day, I just didn’t bother plating them separately, but WOW the cold noodles were even better than warm! Highly recommend making them and chilling overnight.

This time of year is perfect for the pilau and ginger chicken, all those warm savory spices feel very autumnal.

Thanks so much for writing this amazing, deeply beloved fic, and for sharing these recipes! I’ve made them many times now in many different ways, and they always make me feel connected to Sherlock, John, and Molly, and to you, though we’ve never met 😅 cooking is an unusual fandom craft but I adore fandom-inspired meals! ❤️
